We include tips and suggestions in the Good News newsletter, but for those who subscribe late, here’s our reference library of these tips and suggestions.

• The City of Vancouver now collects single use cups in residential blue bins. For multi-unit residences, the cups can be put in the building’s “containers” bin.
  
  
• We should encourage the City to deploy their blue municipal “container” bins in more locations, especially in high density coffee shop areas such as Commercial Drive. The cups should not have to be thrown away in the black municipal garbage bins.
  
  
• If some people in your residence are not certain how to sort their recycling, we’re happy to give 15 minute Recycling 101 seminars. We believe most want to do the right thing, they just need a little education.
  
  
• Some multi-unit residences also handle re-use collection in their building. Do you want to know more about how to set up stations for worn clothing, sports equipment, etc.? Does your building collect similar items? Tell us your good ideas.
